Military combat boots
Combat boots, as the name suggests, were originally made for men who were fighting in wars. The laces allowed them to easily slip on and secure the boots on their feet. Combat boots were first wore in America during World War II. The bottom part of the shoe featured laces, while the top part had a cuff with two buckles to secure the boots.
Fashion combat boots
Combat boots as fashion shoes gained popularity in the grunge and punk fashion trends before becoming mainstream. Fashion combat boots blossomed in popularity towards the end of the 1980s and into the 1990s when grunge fashion became incredibly popular. Fashion combat boots are now a staple in fall and winter closets and wardrobes.
